CUONGHOANG STUDIO / INDEPENDENT SOFTWARE

Ideas, made into working software.

An independent software studio founded and run by Cường (Cuong Hoang), a Software Engineering student at FPT University.

The studio builds web, mobile, internal tools and AI integrations; every project moves through documented stages, quality gates and clear ownership.

Architecture of the cuongthai.com ecosystem

Bilingual learning platform

cuongthai.com

Courses, an AI tutor that reads lecture transcripts and cites timestamps, an exam room and a code lab, with desktop and iOS apps on the same API.

Independent. Direct. Accountable.

One lead. One point of contact.

Work directly with the person building your product. Scope, contributors and deliverables are clarified in the proposal — not left until handover.

Built and running

These products were designed, built, deployed and are operated by the studio itself. They are the studio’s own products, not client work.

Technology in production today

Only what runs in the products above is listed. Other technology is possible, but the proposal will say plainly that it needs ramp-up time.

The academic foundation follows the Software Engineering curriculum: requirements, architecture & design, testing, databases.

  • Web & front end

Next.js (App Router), React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, framer-motion

    Responsive from 360px, light/dark, bilingual.

  • Back end & data

Node.js · Express, PostgreSQL, Prisma, pgvector, Redis, WebSocket

Hand-written migrations, schema drift checked before deploy.

  • Apps

SwiftUI (iOS, iPadOS), Electron (macOS, Windows, Linux)

One API shared by web, desktop and mobile.

  • Infrastructure & operations

Docker, GHCR, nginx, Cloudflare, Linux VPS, GitHub Actions

Images built off-server; the server only pulls and swaps, with a smoke test after every deploy.

  • AI & LLM

Cổng LLM nhiều nhà cung cấp, Định tuyến model theo việc, RAG, Trần chi phí theo ngày

Models chosen by measurement (cost, latency, accuracy), not list prices.

Four commitments on every project

How the studio works, and where its limits are — said before you decide.

  1. Progress you can see

Every project has a shared CT Work board and a weekly report: what’s done, what’s next, which risks, which decisions we need from you.

  2. Documents at every step

Each stage ends with a deliverable and a quality gate with explicit criteria — no moving on by feel.

  3. A complete handover

Source code, access rights, runbooks and user guides are yours. Nothing is held back to keep you dependent.

  4. Real incidents, written down

The cuongthai.com operations log records every production incident — the real cause and the check added so it can’t recur. Your project is run with the same habit.

A word on size

  • The studio is one lead engineer. Projects that need several roles at once (dedicated UX, independent security testing…) bring in specialists per role, named and scoped in the proposal.
  • If a request is beyond what we can deliver or the deadline isn’t feasible, you get a “no” with reasons at the assessment step — before any commitment.
  • There is no client list or testimonial here. What you can judge is the running product, the public code and a fully written-out process.

A 21-stage process, written out in full.

Each stage ends with a deliverable and a quality gate with explicit criteria. Read it before you send a request.
